Never had vans before, thought I would give them a try. They are very well made and sturdy. The only reason I gave them 4 stars was the first day I wore them I got a blister on the back of my heel from them. Hopefully I can break them in with no more blisters! Alpine Swiss has never disappointed in the past. My 15 year old started working out, and these sneakers make for the perfect gym shoe. The black is sleek, no frills, but holds up great. Sizing is true and comfortable. I wouldn’t go hiking in these, but they are a stylish and functional pair of sneakers. We are happy with them!

The fit is quite good. It is almost a slipper/shoe that should work well in warmer weather. An unusual no separate tongue design means that a shoe horn will be necessary for some, including me.
