Had an older gen of this shoe, it was amazing. This pair is wearing out a little faster than the last gen. The old pair also fit AMAZINGLY, and this one was a bit tight. I changed the lacing style (to horizontal) and it solved the narrow feeling of this pair. Only reason this got 4 starts is because the last pair blew... my... mind! so I might be comparing too much.

These shoes are amazing. I remembered my dad wearing these circa 1970. So, when I was looking for a Vans alternative, I thought I'd give them a try. I think I even had the kids version, but it might have been a different model. I am so glad I bought them. They are very basic, but that's all you need. I even bought a second pair in another color.
Most people would be a lot better off if they would just wear simple flat shoes like these without artificial arch support. I started wearing these about 5 days a week and my daily foot cramps are gone and my periodic plantar fasciitis has not returned.
As an added bonus, these stay good looking as I think the canvas is treated with something that repels water, etc. It makes them a bit warm at times, but it really seems to extend the time that they look good.

I buy these for my husband for work. They're the best shoes for walking on concrete floors that is wet and sometimes has grease spilled on it. These shoes last him about a year to a year and a half compaired to other cheap shoes that last a month at his work. They are worth the price and are a good quality. You can always buy soles for added comfort, but for my husband I assume they are comfortable enough because he has never complained about discomfort. I've bought him 3 pairs of these in the past 6 years.
