ordered a half size down as with most superstars and it fits fine. you can't remove the character from the shell toe, its fused on there. my only complaint is that the rubber feels strange, like its falling apart. after taking the shoes out of the box, my shirt was covered with white eraser shaving like pieces. after rubbing the midsole, my fingers got sticky and more of that stuff came off. i ended up scrubbing with reshoevn8er and the eraser shaving problem is gone, but it still has a little tack when touching it. the rest of the shoe is fine.

Good pair of work shoes. This is my second pair. The last pair lasted 8 months. They are comfortable. They give good support and are lite weight.

That's different from other folks with "regular" feet. The bones below my toes are exceptionally wide and yet I have a very narrow heel so many shoes just don't fit me well at all. If I get the toe box area wide enough to accommodate my foot, then the heel area is too wide. I usually use those sticky pads in the heel area to make it snug on my heel. Otherwise I walk out of the shoe. This pair, because they go above my ankle, bypasses the too wide of a heel section. I put on a pair of medium socks (not too thin or too thick), loosened the laces and did have a tiny bit of trouble getting my entire foot in the shoe, but once I did, I laced the shoes up medium-tight and walked around. Usually with shoes I have an initial bit of discomfort - the tops or the soles are stiff or my big toe hits an odd spot inside the shoe or whatever. Not so with these shoes! Aside from listening to a bit of interesting creaking/squeaking from the tops of the shoes when I took a step, the toe box area seemed wider than average shoes and my foot felt very comfortable in the area with no squeezing or discomfort in any way. My heels did not seem to slip around inside the shoes at all, maybe because these shoes hold the ankle fairly still. The leather seems to be of high quality - it has that good smell of quality leather and while leather itself doesn't breathe, the ventilation holes on the top of the toe box and around the ankle area seem to be able to keep the foot cool. I wanted this pair because my left ankle often tries to give way on me due to an old injury. I had a tendon tear so badly several years ago that when it tore, it make a loud crack sound that made me believe I'd broken something. It took over 12 weeks just to be able to put weight on that foot again. Tendons never completely heal so when the weather changes or I do too much walking in flip-flops, that tendon starts giving way and is very painful. These shoes that go over the ankle should help keep the tendon from giving way and/or causing me discomfort. Nice pair of shoes that I will get a great deal of use out of!

Husband said there isn't enough support under the front part of his foot. He will try getting a support and see.
His last pair of these shoes, they were not wide enough, so we ordered the widest size you offer.

These soles have memory foam inside and my husband loves them. He has plantar fasciitis and these shoes are really comfortable. Would rather order online when I know exactly what I want, as opposed to looking in stores.

It's funny how things go - these shoes I might have worn two decades ago. They have that slacker feel (in a good way, of course). Very comfortable, very simple. Size is absolutely dead on. I'm a 13 in sneakers, mostly because of width, but I can often take a 12 in boots. These look fairly thin, but not ugly-thin like a lot of sneakers, but the comfort width-wise is there, and my ankles don't come up in the back, so the fit is just right.
Seems like the price swings wildly from one size to the next. These are some shoes I'd snap up if my size happens to be on the cheap end!

I'm keepin em! No need to order a size up with to this model! I wear a size 9 normally and there is plenty of room in these! I am beyond satisfied! I'm a novice runner and am ecstatic to have some decent shoes to say the least!

I will first say that I love the look of these shoes! The worn in look is amazing and very well designed - giving these shoes a very lived in kind of feel.
The shoes look sharp but, this is where the kudos end. The shoes are indeed leather and did take some time to get used to and actually wear in. Once I had stretched them, they were more comfortable than their initial outings but, they are extremely narrow on my feet and have a slight sole - making them not the most comfortable shoes in the world. The length, shoe sizing is spot on at a 10 but, the narrowness definitely takes away from the overall feel of them. I guess it’s true when they say that amazing fashion will have to hurt sometimes.
I would recommend on the look alone and not the feel.
